Both last night, one at Penn National and one at Presque Isle Downs.
Miss Mockingbird who won at Penn National never ceases to amaze me. She's run 10 ten times and only once been out of the first three. Even then she was fourth! Congratulations to Debby Oxley.
Pendulum, who was running on the Tapeta for the second time proved he likes this surface as he was second the first time around. Congratulations to Priscilla Graham.

His was to get out and go at Saratoga yesterday! After a muddling first race at Delaware where he finished fourth Technique made up for it leading post to wire. Congratulations to owner breeders Mineola Farm and below is from today's Thoroughbred Daily News:
Notable maiden winners
Speightstown SD (32/11) TECHNIQUE, Dk b. or br. c. 2, Chatique, by Deputy Minister. Saratoga Race Course, 9/2, 5.5f, fast, 1:05.38. Won by a head. O—Jones Jr., Jack, G., Houchin, David; B—Mineola Farm II LLC & David R. Houchin (Ky.); T—H. Graham Motion. 2-1-0-0, $32,280. Technique hustled to the front under jockey Edgar Prado and held a one-length lead into the stretch, where he dug in to win by a head in his second start.
The dark bay or brown colt finished fourth in his career debut in a 5½-furlong maiden special weight race on August 3 at Delaware Park. He is one of two winners from five starters out of the Deputy Minister mare Chatique, who is a half sister to multiple Grade 3 winner Fantastic Fellow from the family of English champion, classic winner, and sire Henbit.

The day before, Pleine Forme became our first black-type placed two year old when she ran a cracker to finish third in the P.G. Johnson Stakes at Saratoga. She went a little wide in the stretch which left room for a fast finisher to catch her for second but a very good run.

Spelled wrong, should be Senor Dehere (after his sire) but he ran as fast as a hare in his maiden at Saratoga today. Bowled out of the gate, let the field get away a little which was just as well as they were going a crazy pace, pulled to the outside and ran them down! His stride was magnificent to watch. Two ticks off the track record too. Congratulations to Finmore Thoroughbreds.
