NOT A MOMENT TOO SOON
By Maggie Kimmitt
After one of the worst winters in recorded history for our region, Spring has come to Fair Hill. Finally. The 4’ snowdrifts are melted and gone, the North Face and L.L. Bean outerwear is packed away, and the Palm Meadows exercise riders have made their annual pilgrimage back home.
Steeplechase season is in full swing, and Kentucky Derby 136 is only three weeks away. Fair Hill is literally in bloom again.
Life is good.

I could not resist putting the photo's of Better Talk Now and Gala Spinaway doing what they do every day - play!!! Blackie was having his photo taken and Gala came up to check us out. He made a face at Gala and Gala made a face back! Of course Better Talk Now looks all innocent in the first photo but we caught him in the second!!!{jcomments on}
We'll start you off slow and get your feet wet on Saturday which could be the biggest racing weekend of the young Spring.
2:07 EST: Holy Moment, a Mack Robinson filly by Holy Bull will run in Keeneland's third race a $50,000 Maiden Claimer for fillies and mares. In her debut at Gulfstream, the rangy gray ran like she needed the race, while only finishing 6 lengths behind the winner in the maiden special weight. Today, Corey Nakatani climbs aboard in her second start.
